Anything and everything, pretty much, as long as it is well-written. . I am a huge fan of Russian classics, sappy romance novels, philosophical non-fiction, high fantasy, Occasionally I have to read horribly boring technical manuals for work.

Systems analyst (tech geek)

What's really creepy?
This mutant sunflower in my backyard garden. Its face caves in in the middle and it looks like something out of a horror movie. I shiver every time I look at it.

Kevin Jonas, Johnny Depp

What's your current fandom/obsession/addiction?
Jonas. Specifically Kevin. I have tried to quit, honest.

The hum of my computer, my puppy chewing a shoe, and the neighbor's lawn mower.

I tend to get into food routines. But history has shown the one food I never tire of eating to be Oreos.

People need to own their shit. Personal culpability is a lost art. As a socitey, we strive so hard to protect everyone's feelings that we have engendered a sense of entitlement that has painted a whitewash of  mediocrity over the vlauses of hard work and reaching for excellence.

I was fluent in Italian, I am semi-literate in French, know enough Spanish and German to be dangerous, but I have always wanted to learn Russian so I could read Dostoevsky in the original language.

It hink Frost is right. Fire of war and battle and struggling over resources and rights. Ice that comes after the destruction and freezes out whatever humanity is left.  I think Superflu will reduce the world's popllation. Nuclear weapons are a threat, but I do not think we are so close th the Big Red Button anymore. We all have something to lose. As for zombies, I like my brain and would prefer to keep it.

Angst has been replaced by "blah." Work is very slow right now.  It always cranks down at the end of the year because of so many implementation moratoriums and people taking vacations.  As a result, I have too much time to think. Too much time to think always puts me in the darkest corners of my mind.  I really want to write a new story, but I am not sure what I want to say just yet. So different images and scenes keep flowing in and out of my head.  I should settle on someting soon.

I am really angsty today. I think I am spenind too much time in my fiction world, worried about things I cannot change, wishing for a life that is like the ones I create in my head, building fictional relationships to replace the real ones that are generally disappointing.  I can slip back to a time and a mindset where I was innocent and love was some rainbow-colored goassamer vision.I yearn for that all-consuming love. I have love, but it is quiet and pale. I have a life, but I feel like I am "phoning it in." Disconnected, disengaged, disheartened.

I am a writer with OJD. That's right, Obsessive Jonas Disorder. My interest in the Brothers is one of deciphering their dynamic, exploring the connectedness of the three. Yes, they are talented musicians. Yes, they are extremely cute. They have impeccable manners nad fashion sense. But I mostly just want to hold them close and keep them safe. They strike me as vulnerable and beautiful souls trapped in a world that is going to break them. So, much of my writing here will be to explore that dynamic and portray them as the romantic heroes my imagination believes them to be.

It doesn't hurt that 5'8" curly-haired, hazel-eyed Kevin Jonas reminds me of my 5'7" curly-haired, hazel-eyed, super-romantic high-school boyfriend and first love. The starry-eyed teenage girl in me is reawakened in my Kevin-love and I guess I believe in fairy tales again.

• I am a cat person.
• I cannot stand for things to squish under my feet. Walking in the ocean or through mud puddles is off limits for me.
• I love purple shoes and have them in every flavor from slippers ot hiking boots. My favorite pair is suede, skater shoes, with a skull and crossbones on the side.
